FWsim is a show planning & visualization tool made for the needs of small and medium-sized companies. It is currently used by professionals in 40 countries worldwide. There is also a hobbyist edition available.

We released FWsim v4 earlier this year. In this update, planning your shows is easier & faster:

➜ Easier position setup
➜ Graphical module setup
➜ Put steppers through multiple positions (this allows you, for example, to run a stepper in a circle)
➜ New camera controls
➜ Comfortable angle selection in 3D window
➜ Select position first, then add cues
➜ Select multiple positions to add multiple cues

We hebben zojuist FWsim 4.1 uitgebracht, met automatische beatdetectie: Selecteer je muziek en klik op de knop - FWsim genereert markers voor elke beat. Dit elimineert uren handmatig werk en zorgt voor een perfecte synchronisatie. Het werkt met alle muziek: pop, rock, elektronisch en zelfs klassieke muziek met verschillende tempo's.

Veel gebruikers hebben ons gevraagd of er een manier is om toegang te krijgen tot de volledige FWsim Pro-bibliotheek en geavanceerde choreografietools, zonder de Pro-editie aan te schaffen.

Dit is nu mogelijk met de nieuwe FWsim Hobbyist Edition.

• Toegang tot de volledige FWsim Pro-bibliotheek met 7243 effecten (en er komen er dit jaar nog veel meer bij)
• Smart Clone en Quick Adjust voor efficiëntere choreografie in de tijdlijn
• De mogelijkheid om je eigen effectcomponenten te maken (voorheen alleen beschikbaar in FWsim Pro)
• Snellere opzet met de functie “Multi Add Position”
• De mogelijkheid om shows in andere shows te importeren (zodat u elementen kunt hergebruiken)

Interview met Royal Fireworks

Royal Fireworks is een pyrotechnisch bedrijf uit Nederland met een passie voor het vertellen van verhalen via pyromusicals. Tijdens drie deelnames aan de prestigieuze Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC) in Manilla bereikten ze tweemaal het podium: in 2012 wonnen ze de derde plaats en de People’s Choice Award, en in 2015 sleepten ze de kampioenstitel in de wacht. We spraken met Jozef Royal over hoe FWsim in hun creatieve proces past.

We hebben een revolutionaire nieuwe manier gelanceerd om effecten te maken: de FWsim Effects Generator.


Beschrijf gewoon in gewone taal welk effect je wilt, en het programma maakt het voor je. Daarna kun je desgewenst nog wat fijnafstellingen doen in de effect-editor.

Met de Pro-editie kun je ook een volledige catalogus als Excel-bestand importeren, waarna alle animaties automatisch voor je worden gemaakt.

Over the past few months, we have spoken with many FWsim users and identified a clear need: many serious hobbyists have a fireworks system and want to export real shows, but do not need the full professional workflow of FWsim Pro. That is why we have expanded the Hobbyist Edition.

Hobbyist Edition can now:

• Export to your firing system
• Print simple floor plans and labels
• Automatically address cues, including graphic module placement
